Average ‘scaled scores’ in reading and maths

Average ‘scaled scores’ are not applicable as Watergate pupils did not take the national KS2 reading or maths tests in 2018.  Watergate pupils are not working at this level of ability

Percentage of pupils who achieved the expected standard or above in reading, writing and maths

As pupils did not take the national KS2 reading and maths tests in 2018, it is therefore not possible to indicate expected standard percentage as defined by the Department for Education (DfE)

Pupils were assessed in reading, writing and maths using p Levels (see below)

WATERGATE ASSESSMENT RESULTS

In 2018, pupils were assessed in reading, writing and maths at the end of KS2 using p Levels.

P level outcomes were measured against Progression Guidance.

The information is grouped into the following categories:

Exceeded expected progress: UQ (Upper Quartile)

Achieved expected progress: M (Median)

Achieved below expected progress: LQ (Lower Quartile)

The tables below show the % of Y6 Watergate pupils who, at the end of KS2 in reading, writing and maths, when compared to data in the Progression Guidance: –

Either/or

More than exceeded expected progress: xUQ

Exceeded expected progress: UQ

Achieved expected progress: M

Achieved below expected progress: LQ

The impact of sustained good or better teaching over the past three years and more robust assessment enabled outstanding progress and attainment for 17 -18 Y6 cohort.
