Parent Partnership
The school encourages parents to play an active part in the education of their child, reinforcing and extending school activities. Watergate likes to hear about what your child has done out of school and what they really find interesting so that this can be used to support your child’s learning.
Staff are always here to discuss with parents any aspects of their child’s development and the home/school diary is of great importance in providing two-way communication.
There are regular meetings and reviews.
During the year, there are a number of special class and whole school events that parent(s)/carer(s) are very welcome to attend. Please look out for fliers and other information in your child’s home school book.
Collective Worship
Please come along
Every Monday, there is Collective Worship in the School Hall
Infants 10am – Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Violet and Pink Classes
Juniors 10:20am – Orange, Silver, Peach, Lime, Aqua and Gold Classes.
Religious Festivals from major religions are celebrated. Valuing one another and treating others with respect and tolerance, regardless of backround, is consistently demonstrated and promoted. The children are encouraged to become valuable and fully rounded members of society in as far as they are able. The school promotes the basic British values of mutual respect and tolerance for those of different faiths and beliefs. These values are, of course, promoted and demonstrated across the school day in suitable parts of the curriculum.
