SILVER CLASS

Silver Class teaching staff have been busy finding and creating activities for you!

Click on the links below to explore and try some…

  • Find out about different seasons with Paloma as she sings ‘Seren’s Seasons’…

  • Paloma sings the story ‘We Are All Different’. Listen to Paloma singing and look at the pictures to explore how we are all different in so many wonderful ways! …

  • Sand sensory images – a multi-sensory activity to develop sensory skills and self-regulation…

  • Counting activities – the 1 to 7 song. You can support your child by using the objects once they have learned the song and singing the song to them…

  • Fruit songs and cooking activities. Encourage your child to pronounce ‘apple’ and ‘banana’ or the sound ‘a’ and ‘b’. Try making a fruit salad with the fruits you learn about! 🙂

  • Songs for brushing teeth and personal care. Try to use the same melodies or songs when supporting your child to work on a daily routine…

  • Can you sing along with Paloma to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star?

  • Do you remember to actions to 5 Little Men? See if you can do the actions as Paloma sings this song!

  • 5 Little Ducks with Paloma

  • It’s ‘time to relax’ with Paloma!

  • Paloma sings Hello to Silver Class

  • Watch and listen to some music videos from Paloma…full of lots of singing, instrument exploration and just the right amount of silliness!!
  • Melodica Song

  • Good Morning Song

  • Big Tambourine, Small Tambourine

  • Blueberry & Banana Muffin healthy bake by Joe Wicks
  • Simon Says Game
  • Try exercising your fingers and developing your coordination with these activities using a colander and pipe cleaners, straws, dried spaghetti or sticks! A simple activity to set up…
  • Playdough making is a good activity to develop and use some messy play, cooking and tactile play, science experience, motor skills and when the playdough is made, use it to work with fine motor skills and pre-writing skills (finger isolation, fingers strength, independence of hands). Use the dough and encourage your child to follow simple instructions : rolling it up and down on an even surface, make a ball with one hand then with the other hand, press one finger to make marks on it, roll it along to make it long (as a sausage). We have been practicing this in Silver Class making a little melody for each one of the actions. You can try and use ‘twinkle twinkle little star’ as a tune for them. E.g. “Roll it roll it up and down, keep it rolling, make it round” “Press your fingers in the dough, you will see the holes come out” Get a playdough recipe here.

  • Quiet time songs we use in Silver Class:

Bach for Lute   Arvo PärtLes Filles de IllighadadFaure- Siciliene
